You most likely already use your Amazon Prime membership to acquire all the necessities for your house and more, but don't forget to take use of the huge library of films and TV series that the streaming service has to offer.

FoE (Jan. 5)

Paul Mescal's character Junior and Saoirse Ronan's character Hen lead a modest life on a distant farm. When a mystery man named Terrance (Aaron Pierre) shows there with an offer that calls into question their connection and identity, their peaceful existence is upended. Hen's temporary companion will be a robot, while Junior will be shipped off to live on a spacecraft. Inspired by the same-titled novel by Iain Reid published in 2018, it's a psychological thriller with strong echoes of Black Mirror. 

Role play (Jan. 12)

Kaley Cuoco's character Emma is a suburban wife and mother who keeps a secret. In reality, she is a contract murderer. Emma's spouse, David Oyelowo, responds somewhat unexpectedly when he unintentionally discovers her secret existence. Rather than being shocked or upset, he goes along with her on a risky assignment that puts both of them in serious danger. Emma's dark realm appears to be somehow connected to a man named Bob (Bill Nighy). What connection exists between the two? What led Emma to choose a profession as a hitman? All becomes clear in due course.

Experts (Jan. 26)

Mercy (Ji-young Yoo), a recent Korean-American graduate from Columbia, is seeking a new beginning. Living in the lap of luxury, Hilary (Sarayu Blue) struggles with infertility and a failing marriage. Next is Margaret (Nicole Kidman), a mother whose idyllic life is abruptly destroyed and who has to start piecing together her former existence. As these women's paths intersect, they become unexpectedly close and become a part of a close-knit expat community through all of their highs and lows and the lessons they ultimately learn about life.
